Peter started his career with the
Financial Services Group of the leading accounting firm in the Philippines,
SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.). He has extensive experiences in
auditing financial institutions and other sectors, as well as in financial due
diligence review for mergers and acquisitions, local and international securities
offerings, and initial public offerings.
After spending 9 years at SGV &
Co., he moved to Indonesia to join Arthur Andersen Indonesia (AA Indonesia),
which eventually became Ernst & Young Indonesia (EY Indonesia) after the
merger, to be a technical advisor. Specifically, he advised audit teams on various
accounting and auditing issues. At the same time, he also acted as partner
in-charge of some big audit engagements of clients in different industries such
as in real estate, manufacturing, plantation, mining, service concession,
retail and service industries. He spent a total of 10 years
with AA Indonesia and EY Indonesia.
In 2012, he moved to Moore Stephens
Indonesia (now Moore Indonesia) as a technical advisor of the auditing firm of
Moore Indonesia, Mirawati Sensi Idris (MSI), and as part of the PT Moore
Stephens Consulting, the consulting firm of Moore Indonesia. Under MSI, his
roles and exposures were similar with AA Indonesia and EY Indonesia. Under the
consulting service, he was involved in the financial due diligence for
acquisitions and mergers, taxation, restructuring and other deals. He also
headed the International Securities team for international offerings
specifically under Reg S and 144A rule.
Peter was also appointed to be the regional Quality Control Reviewer for Asia Pacific member firms of Moore Global Network Limited (formerly Moore Stephens International Limited). Asia Pacific countries covered Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Philippines, Thailand, Nepal, Taiwan and South Korea. He also assisted in the technical trainings of Asia Pacific.
In December 2022, Peter returns to the Philippines and joined Mendoza Querido & Co.
Peter obtained his bachelor's degree in accountancy from the Philippine School of Business Administration in Manila, Philippines. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
